Joe Nedder founded Cross St. Associates in 2003 in response to numerous requests for him to help out local fire departments with private training. Nedder, a certified Fire Instructor, has over 33 years experience in the fire service and was an instructor with the Massachusetts Firefighting Academy for 16 years. In 2008 he was an Instructor at the Firehouse-Chicago Fire Department Expo and has written for Fire Engineering about training volunteer firefighters.

Cross St. Associates is a high-energy training company dedicated to training the fire service. We are more “on the floor”, hands-on training vs. theory, concept or flash. The classes we offer are aimed to produce results. All of our Instructors are Fire Service personnel who believe that training is the key to safety, success and survival! The company and our classes are all about learning to do the job safely, correctly and currently. Training is on going. A firefighter must never stop learning or training

Do you have bailout ropes attached to your SCBA's?
Have you issued your firefighters personal ropes, WITHOUT training?
Maybe you never put them in service because the firefighters are NOT trained in the skill? For departments with smaller staffs this class is ideal for a regional offering. Up to 40 students, 20 at a time can be trained in an 6-hour day.
